Very blessed to have had a special day. A different day as physically away from family but a lovely day.
I was able to video chat to my family which was wonderful ❤️
Annaliese and I had a beautiful brekky and then headed off to church.
We had thought we would catch the bus but no public transport operates on Christmas day 😊.
With some rain about, we opted for an uber. The driver was hilarious when he excitedly noted that we had driven over a bridge at 30kms per hr which, in 20yrs of driving in London had never happened. The roads were quiet!
Holy Trinity Church was recommended and was warm and welcoming and we were given chocolates, candy canes, hot chocolate and a mince pie upon entry and lots of Christmas carols and a great message on choosing to be vulnerable in order to have deeper relationships.
We put on the roast turkey and veges and casually ate a cheese platter and opened the gift champagne from the home owner while we waited.
Special to watch the King's speech live on TV 😊.
A doggy walk in the park in the light rain.
Dessert of Christmas pudding and mince pies with cognac butter watching Christmas movies.
If I'm going to be away from home then this was a wonderful plan B 🌲🌲🌲
