Stunning weather for my cruisy ride today. The route followed the river for most of the day.

This section of river is popular for fishing. |
Quite a lot of industrial activity next to the river with dredging, gravel and other road work looking materials being mined and loaded onto boats for transport along the river.
A number of river cruise ships today passed by today. Saw a small snake and waited for it to slither away.
Met a lovely Belgium couple at my lunch spot. A busy cafe just for cyclists and water refills and shady picnic tables.
They told me about an open air Celtic museum a small diversion off the route. The museum had English language self guided booklets. Interesting place and many of the buildings and artifacts only discovered in the 80's by a farmer who alerted the archaeologists. As i was leaving, 2 Aussie couples from Perth arrived, so we had a nice chat.

My campsite has two young couples, so not alone tonight, but it's next to a busy road which appears to be the main route to Vienna for trucks 🙄. Hoping they don't do the overnight run!
