Bavaria 🇩🇪 Englischausen program

After a beautiful sleep I awoke to mist lifting over the grass and forest view.  Peaceful area with just a few birds chirping.

After breakfast the volunteer English teachers were allocated a student for 50 mins to help explain a few set phrases or words to our student and then help them use it in context, sentences etc.  Eg. "Put up with", "drop in", "brownie points".  Today was such a gorgeous day that a number of us decided to do a walk and talk one on one through the forest.

I had 5 X one on ones with different students today and managed to walk 17kms and over 26,000 steps 😂. Such a great learning environment and felt like we were just out walking with friends.  This relaxed them greatly.

Today also included a small skit for 5 people - (there will be one daily) they had a script to follow but needed to rehearse.

Then some presentations.. each of us has to do a 5-10 min presentation on any topic and people can ask questions.

After dinner we finished with a game of Taboo.  Students versus volunteer teachers.  Lots of laughter.  Finished the day at 10.30pm.

The immersion learning concept is effective and I can see the students improving their English conversation already.

So many fascinating people in one place.  Loving it 😊
