Bergamo 🇮🇹 - Day 2 - 60kms

Exhilarating day ❤️. We set off early to try to beat the heat and traffic. Our cycle destination today - Selvino, made famous as being included in the Giro Italia races a number of times.  The first time for me to cycle  switchbacks and it's such an exciting experience as you can see cars and cyclists above you on the road as you ride.  19 switchbacks and there are signs that count you down. 

 
Such a great feeling to make it to the top with incredible views, busy traffic and quite a few cyclists passing me!  

We had a cool drink 

and then headed through gorgeous alpine villages and up the next mountain to Ganda.   

Gorgeous views again and then a long descent on pothole, patchy switchbacks down to the valley. 
I loved seeing the old stone farm buildings with terracotta roofs.

Such a great feeling of achievement.

Tonight we headed into the old town for a beautiful meal followed by gelati in the square listening to an Italian busker.
