I put my tourist and socialising hats & walking shoes on today in Manchester
Started with brunch at a fabulous Indian restaurant and then into Manchester on another 27 degree day to visit the Manchester United stadium at Old Trafford and the Lancashire Cricket ground. Special to see the recently unveiled Jimmy Murphy statue. Back on the tram to town for an hour or two of people watching in the Northern quarter precinct. We just made it to the Manchester Arena precinct as the rain came pouring down and the temp dropped 5+ degrees. Viewed the memorial of those killed at the Arena from a suicide bomber 5 years ago.
Finished the day with a few drinks with a friendly social group and another curry at a restaurant with the most 'plush' decor I've seen 
Relaxing and full day
