A local adventure today.
A tram ride to Oldham for an Indian breakfast and a little bit of shopping.

Then off for a riding adventure to Daisy Nook and then continuing up the hill to Hartshead Pike with spectacular 360 degree views to Manchester and surrounds.. was good to test out all the gears on my new bike on the steep hills.
The route included sections on road, tow path beside the canal, trails through Daisy Nook forest park with peacocks, bumble bees, robin red breasts, draught horses and birds twittering.
At the top at the monument were hikers and some mountain bikers who were interested in my bike and journey planns.The great part of a 15km climb was a fabulous downhill section.
Finished the day with a trip to the pub with friends and late night kebab. Sun just starting to set at 10.15pm...
