Eichstatt to Passau 🇩🇪

And so another adventure chapter closes...  the Englischausen English language immersion course for Germans concluded a few hours ago.  The last couple of days were full of one on ones, theatre, conference call and phone call simulations, team building activities, discussion groups, walks in the forest, amazing food.

Last night we had a party and one of our students is a part time DJ.  We all submitted a song or two and he mixed the tunes and we danced till 1am.

It was an honour to have these professionals trust us enough to be vulnerable, be prepared to make grammatical errors, be humble enough to welcome correction.  The depth of conversation and friendship bonds built was unexpected.  This style of intensive learning is effective.

We had an activity where we had to find a photo of actors or a painting and then copy it.

I have walked away with warm invitations to visit and stay.  I'll have to plan a German cycle tour for next year.

My 'people interaction' and 'hug' cups are full ❤️

I'm on the train back to Passau on the Austrian border where my touring bike awaits.  Tomorrow I will continue riding along the Eurovelo 6 route towards Vienna.  Looking forward to getting back in the cycle touring groove again.
